I know this looks like a post you would see around the 4th of July (State Skirt!!!) but here in HK it has been anything but winter. While I am loving the sunshine that we have been blessed with this season I am missing the cooler temps. I cherish our eight weeks of winter and use everyday as a chance to pile on the layers- a blazer over a sweater over a dress over leggings? Yes, please! But sadly this year there are no days to wear leather trenches, no days for vintage fur stoles, no days for leather pants with a chunky knit and a cute hat or turban (No turban??!GASP!). While I am sure that I won’t live in the Kong forever (please let me be wrong) and one day I will be back in the Northeast gripped by some horrible blizzard griping about the cold, for now it is nice to dream of the best of both worlds. Somewhere there is a magical city where you can wear a big fur hat come winter and a lace shorts come spring without melting or freezing. But for now, I will roll with the punches and pile on the sunscreen year round (pretty sure you’re supposed to do that anyway)! Here’s to spring or winter or whatever happens tomorrow!
