The HK Fashion Bloggers is a group in town founded by Jasmine Webster of Dress Me Blog. She created this network to bring the fashion bloggers of HK together so that we could collaborate on projects and make our voices stronger by working with one another. I have loved being a part of this group and have made some incredible friends through the organization. Sometimes it is the bloggers that are merely 16 years old that I find myself in complete awe of! It is amazing to see what someone so young can accomplish and I learn more and more from this astonishing group of individuals all the time! HKFB recently celebrated its two year anniversary and to celebrate a party was held at Kee Club. The house was packed with colorful hair and enough accessories to smother a small child. There was a silent art auction featuring pieces from artist Yolande Parry (I won one!). There was also a panel of bloggers, which I was honored to be a part of. We chatted about how to manage our time online and how to build a brand without losing our audience. Even though I was speaking on the panel I was still able to learn so much from the other panelists as they easily navigated the world of social media though their answers.
Ah! But what does one wear to an event that is for bloggers by bloggers!?! Well, that part was easy as Club Monaco outfitted me from head to, well, mid-thigh for the evening! A few days before the big shebang I popped by Club Monaco with the Viss team to decide on the ensemble. Pics went up on Viss and Instagram of the possibilities and I chose the orange leather moto jacket which is a bold choice given we are in full on HK summer but I decided we would be in an air conditioned space so all would be fine. Luckily, I was right! I can’t wait to wear this gorgeous coat come fall! I’m also very much in love with the white version! Did you see my moto inspirations yesterday? If not, click here! The skirt has been my go-to throw on since picking it up from the shop as it goes with everything and looks equally cute paired with Tom’s for a day of running around.
