Dressing casually has proven to be more of a challenge than I would have thought now that my belly is approaching whale proportions. Stretchy fitted shift dresses and fun coats have been my go to for on the town but somedays you just want to throw on jeans and a comfy top and loaf around. Maternity jeans are also trickier than I would have liked with even the most comfortable pairs cutting off circulation to my bottom half while seated. I did find an amazing pair of boyfriend jeans on Asos that I have been living in (sorry hubs) though they are less than flattering. This blue ribbed dress topped with a denim shirtdress more or less gets me to a jeans-and-tee-feeling without looking like a total tent. None of these are maternity items, which I like. The dress is just super stretchy and the shirt is a size larger than I would normally buy. This slouchy denim shirt also worked well for a maternity shoot I had last week and also does the trick when paired with leggings for the photography jobs. I’m all for pieces that work in multiple ways! I’ll post a few pics of my other more casual outfits too. Hopefully, they will provide a smidge of inspiration for any other ladies out there who are shoving two people in one outfit!
