Ruffles have delicately but most valiantly made a major comeback. Frills frolicked down the runway at Chanel, Giambattista Valli, and Dior couture shows this week. While these have long been a wardrobe staple of the under 12 crowd the post-tween wearers have waxed and wained with the decades. But now, oh now, if you don’t own a ruffle-emblazed ensemble you may as well have crawled under a fashion rock to die. I prefer mine to be large and in charge so that the wearer is drowned in girly embellishment and is left gasping in chasms of chiffon and layers of lace. Add a white tee or a black turtle neck under to add depth and a mixed media like texture or top it with a blazer or moto but whatever you do don a ruffle or be left behind in the dust stirred up by the dramatic draping of the one and only ruffle.

B knows.
