My best friend Bowen’s favorite color was always yellow and I never quite got it. Why not pink or blue or a vibrant green? Why a color so loud and one that is so tricky to wear?!? Well, the weather in Hong Kong has been wildly depressing recently and I now see why it is important to embrace this hue! Sometimes you just need to be your own sunshine!

When I was blonde I could never pull off the color without looking all washed out or just plain sick! Now with the brown hair I can wear more shades than ever before and am trying my best to don them all! The trick to wearing yellow for blondes is to keep it away from your face… and your hair! Try a yellow pair of cropped pants, a bag, or a vibrant nail instead! For those with darker tresses then pile on the sunny love.  Cheer up Hong Kong. The sun’ll come out tomorrow!
