It is so easy to get stuck in a black/gray/brown style rut come winter but actually I find that this is the easiest time of the year to have some fun with color! There are so many fantastic statement coats and capes out there just waiting to be purchased and tossed on over your everyday basics (Yes, I know you may not consider a leopard skirt to be a basic but I think you should reconsider that notion)! I found this green vintage cape at Goodwill for US$10 and have worn it for the past three or four seasons livening up everything from jeans and tee’s to what you see here! Speaking of green it is one of this season’s hottest colors so why not give this shade a try! It works on pretty much every skin tone though I do recommend that blondes stick with the emerald varieties as more olive-y shades can leave you looking like you just got off a ship tossed about at sea. Winter is no reason not to show your personality through your clothing so make Kermit proud and show how easy it is to be green!
