I love it when I can finally wear my winter wear! HK’s weather leaves a lot to be desired but these few months from December- March is my favorite time in the city! Not only do we have one gigantic holiday season ( hello Christmas, New Years, Chinese New Year, Valentines, and Rugby Sevens) but it is cold enough to actually get all dressed and not sweat through every layer! This is when my vintage wool skirts emerge from the depths of my wardrobe. I love wearing these heavy wools for a few reasons. 1- They are like wearing a big toasty blanket. 2- I can still feel like a girl even in chillier temps. 3-The range of colors and prints keep me out of the dreaded all black winter rut. 4-I can still be creative with clothing and not get stuck in leggings and a big sweater. 5- Did I mention it is like wrapping yourself in a blanket all day?!?! Amaze! If I were back in NY wearing this I would simply add tights and some tall boots (thick socks too!), maybe layer a denim jacket over the sweater and under the coat and toss on a thick scarf and cute hat. Speaking of hats I have been meaning to wear more berets! Hmmmm….. beret post coming up? Probably! Happy winter everyone!
