There are some stores that I walk into and instantly want to move into. Well, if Club Monaco had a kitchen and bed, then I would immediately be sending out some change-of-address cards and updating everyone about my new digs! The reason for this is because their Spring/Summer 2013 Collection is everything I have always wanted my wardrobe to be, with colours, prints and mix-and-match goodies galore…and I have a feeling it would be cheaper to move into the shop than to buy every single garment that I am infatuated with!
I recently ransacked the store to bring you a few examples of why I am so in love with CM and why you should be too!
A PRINT PARTY
This first look I’m dying to own is this print party of a striped shirt and lizard print pants! Printed pajama style pants are wildly on-trend and are incredibly comfy too; while this silky pair is perfect for wearing in the city, they would also look great on a beach vacation paired with gold sandals and a floaty silk top for dinner. The mint moto jacket is beyond amazing and could be worn easily with any spring dress, making it instantly of-the-moment (see another way to wear your moto here). The gold and teal rhinestone necklace adds just the right amount of flash and fun to the look.
Ramona Jacket $2390, Selena Pant $1490, Peyton Tank $1190, Turq Crystal Pendant $790
Lace skirts seem to pop up in every magazine I pick up (check the trend out here too) and this yellow version is everything I dreamed of as it’s the perfect length and has pockets too! You may already know that I love yellow from this article so this item is a must for me. It becomes perfect for a weekend of running around meeting friends when a basic white sleeveless shirt and cashmere gray cardi is added to the mix. Toss on some wear-everywhere TOMs from Lane Crawford and hit the streets for a sun soaked Saturday (check out a few more sunshiney Saturday styles here)!
Romy Skirt $1590, Jaye Shirt $990, Sadie Cardigan $2590, Rada Statement Earring $2290
When it’s time to go to work, go graphic… with stripes, I mean! This sheer blouse becomes office appropriate when you slip a satin cami under it, but the scene-stealer here are the cropped tux pants. These trousers look great with a heel but equally nice with a little loafer or lace-up Oxford, which add masculinity and comfort. I prefer to keep the jewellery simple when on the job so one statement ring is all you need. (P.S Check out some from more monochrome looks from JOYCE here).
Stevie Pant $1490, Lauren Shirt $1490, Mint Crystal Ring $590
DATE NIGHT DAZZLER
When date night rolls around, you can turn the girly on – an iridescent beaded mini dress will shine almost as brightly as you! Keeping in the same tonal range to elongate the look, I added this peachy blouse and a mauve rhinestone clutch. All of that beading could cause an overdose of glam, so I added a silk olive army jacket to the mix for a bit of boyish charm. Feel free to break these pieces up – pair the skirt with a denim shirt and sneakers for day or the jacket with skinny jeans and heels for night!
Roanne Embellished Clutch $1790, Statement Ring $690, Junie Skirt $3290, Alesia Top $2490

Now I hope you can see why I’m relocating to Queen’s Road… Don’t worry, I think the store is big enough for us to room together – it’s two floors after all! I honestly think Club Monaco has outdone themselves this season and I couldn’t be any more excited. Summer wardrobes watch out – Club Monaco is taking over!
