Slip: Vintage, Tube Dress under slip: Asos, Shoes: Nine West. Bag:: Adrienne Vittadini, Earrings: Looks, Rings: BCBG and Alexander McQueen

I have had this slip in the closet for at least five (maybe more!) years and have been meaning to wear it and have just never gotten around to it. Well, now that the baby bump has halved my wardrobe I am finding new ways of wearing old items and sometimes…just plain wearing old items! This slip has been worn by models on shoots sans under dress but I just don’t see that being a good idea for a pregnant woman flitting about town so I added the tube dress and voila.. instant party attire. And what a party I attended! I wore this to the Godiva Christmas launch and was so glad that I chose to wear something flowing and dark because I was up to my eyeballs in chocolate truffles, hot chocolate, chocolate covered waffles and chocolate covered strawberries and the extra flowy dress was the perfect pairing to my growing appetite and belly! Plus, if there were chocolately fingerprints being smudged on me I never noticed! I’m looking forward to my next trip to Georgia where I can once again raid the Goodwill racks in search of baby bump friendly vintage slips and dresses to take me through till March! How great would these slips look come January with a fabulous oversized coat tossed over the shoulders!?! Come on cold weather……
